Details

SMT provided a turn-key monitoring system to investigate current building moisture levels in areas under renovation, with additional monitoring to confirm moisture level.

The sensors and data acquisition system are installed external to the building to minimize disruption to occupants and to enable the sensor to be solar powered.

The SMT proprietary solar powered WiDAQ is externally mounted and requires no other power source or communication wires. The sensor cables enable the installation of the moisture and temperature detection within the hidden areas of the wall assembly.

Now both investigators and the owners have tools available to them to provide a measurement of building moisture levels, temperature over various times, and watch the building performance during various weather events.
